Use and performance

Polytrifluorochloroethylene/PolyChloroTriFluoroEthylene(PCTFE)is A thermoplastic fluoroplastic with a long history and unique properties. It is polymerized from trifluorochloroethylene monomers, featuring both fluorine and chlorine atoms around its main chain. This distinctive molecular structure endows it with a series of outstanding comprehensive properties.

1.Exceptional Barrier Properties: Among all transparent plastic films, PCTFE film exhibits the lowest water vapor transmission rate and outstanding gas barrier capabilities.
2.Temperature Resistance: Maintains stable performance across an extensive long-term operating range from -196°C to 150°C or higher. Retains toughness without brittle fracture even in cryogenic environments like liquid nitrogen or liquid oxygen.
3.Chemical Inertness: Inert to most acids, alkalis, solvents, and oxidizing agents, offering superior corrosion resistance.
4.Superior Mechanical Properties: Compared to “plastic king” PTFE, PCTFE exhibits higher mechanical strength, hardness, rigidity, and creep resistance (resistance to long-term deformation). It features high compressive strength and minimal cold flow.
5.Electrical Insulation: Exhibits outstanding electrical insulation properties with low dielectric constant and dielectric loss across a broad frequency range, virtually unaffected by temperature and humidity
6.Optical Transparency: Achieves optical transparency at sufficiently thin thicknesses (e.g., 3mm sheets)
